Susan Curtis has condensed what can be an overwhelming amount of information in to easy to handle bite size pieces, yet she manages to not leave anything out. I highly recommen this book for anyone interested in using aromatherapy oils. |

Neale Donald Walsch ISBN 0399145419 The titles of these books put me off buying them for a couple of years, I thought they would be coming from the traditional Catholic tradition. How wrong I was, they are the kind of books that really change your life and make you want to buy every one you care about a copy, in fact that is exactly what I've been doing! Every question you've ever formed in your head about God, Life, the Universe is answered here in an easy to read, down to earth humorous style. It doesn't even matter if Walsch made it all up, it all still makes perfectly good sense and offers a lot of comfort for those on the 'path' to a more spiritual life. I would go as far as to say that these books can have a profound effect on the way you've lived your life so far. |

Even if you aren't specifically interested in following the Buddhist path, it would still be a beneficial read, for like its title suggests, it teaches ways of meditating and of practising, that would benefit anyone.
I found the writing flowed easily and I read the book in a day or two. It is available on Amazon.com

 The Power of Now.
By Ekhart Tolle ISBN 1577311523 This is one of those books that you want to give to all your friends and relatives. I have a lending copy which is well and truly battered, and my own copy in case my lending one doesn't come back! The basic 'message' of this book is, as the title suggests, about keeping your awareness in the 'now moment'. This simple concept yields amazing results and anyone can do it, you don't have to have any spiritual belief or religious faith. This book is a very easy read, I read it all in one sitting, and have reread it many times. Its quite a cheap book too, about £8 in or less if purchased from Amazon.com - I highly recommend one of my favourite books of all time. Recommended by Annalee Rose - avebury_surfer@highstream.com |
